Molinari and Pratt conducted by Carlo Tenan

The first of the two Concerti lirico-sinfonici (operatic symphony concerts) programmed by the ROF 2019 will be given at 4.00 p.m. on Monday 19th August at the Teatro Rossini, and the solo singers will be Cecilia Molinari and Jessica Pratt, both enthusiastically received in the rôles of Demetrio / Siveno and Lisinga in Demetrio e Polibio; Carlo Tenan will conduct the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini.

The programme includes the Overture to L’Italiana in Algeri; Tancredi’s recitative “Oh patria!” and cavatina “Tu che accendi questo core” from Tancredi, sung by Cecilia Molinari; Adelaide’s aria “Cingi la benda candida” from Adelaide di Borgogna, sung by Jessica Pratt; the duettino for Zelmira and Emma “Perché mi guardi, e piangi?” from Zelmira, sung by Jessica Pratt and Cecilia Molinari; Rosina’s aria “Contro un cor che accende amore” from Il barbiere di Siviglia”, sung by Cecilia Molinari; The Rondò and Final scene for Matilde “Ami alfin? E chi non ama” from Matilde di Shabran, sung by Jessica Pratt; the Overture to Otello; the Recitative “Oh qual sceglieste” and duet for Amenaide and Tancredi “L’aura che intorno spiri” from Tancredi, sung by Jessica Pratt and Cecilia Molinari.

The second of the Concerti lirico-sinfonici will be given on Friday 23rd August at 4.oo p.m., also at the Teatro Rossini, featuring the voices of Anna Goryachova and Simone Alberghini with the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini conducted by Alessandro Bonato.
