Concerto dal Balcone in Stigliano

A new event is taking place in Stigliano, in the province of Matera, as part of the educational project Crescendo per Rossini, which, following its launch in the Marche and Veneto regions, has now expanded to Basilicata. The initiative, organised in collaboration with Stigliano Town Council, held its first event at the end of April with the comprehensive school and the Hostilianus care home, and will continue on Sunday 14 June at 6.30 pm and 8 pm with a double Concerto dal Balcone in Piazza Monumento. The performers will be Chiara Tirotta and Manuel Amati, who will perform pieces from La Cenerentola, accompanied on the piano by Lorenzo Felicioni. The programme includes the Cenerentola-Ramiro duet ‘Tutto è deserto. Un soave non so che’, Ramiro’s Recitative and Aria ‘Principe più non sei… Sì, ritrovarla io giuro’ and Cinderella’s Scene ‘Nacqui all’affanno, e al pianto’.
