Waiting for Pesaro 2024

As part of the cultural initiatives in view of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024, we highlight the Cantiere sociale della musica. The project, conceived and developed by LiberaMusica and supported by the Fondazione Wanda Di Ferdinando, organises from June 28th an international campus for young people aged 10 to 18 from educational programmes inspired by the Abreu System of Youth Orchestras and Choirs. This year the project will involve a total of 120 youngsters from all over Italy and from Greece, Cyprus and Peru. The Peruvian project, Sinfonia por el Peru, is chaired by Juan Diego Flórez.
The campus will close on July 1st at 6pm with a concert in Piazza del Popolo as part of the Caterraduno. On stage will be the LiberaMusica Orchestra and the Sinopoli Junior Orchestra, conducted by José Ángel Salazar Marin. Don Luigi Ciotti will speak.
The Festival is a partner in the project together with Amat, Aspes, Marche Multiservizi, Arci Pesaro and Urbino, Università degli Studi di Urbino and Istituto Comprensivo Gaudiano.
