Closing concert of the Accademia

On Monday 18th July at 8.00 p.m. at the Teatro Sperimentale the traditional closing concert will bring the XXXIV Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, directed by ROF Intendant Ernesto Palacio, to an end. The Accademia Rossiniana is supported by Fondazione Meuccia Severi.

The 2022 edition of the Accademia  featured 19 fully effective pupils: the sopranos Lyaila Alamanova (Kazakhstan), Irene Celle (Italy), Maria Kokareva (Russia), Inés Lorans (France), Aitana Sanz (Spain) and Mariia Smirnova (Russia); the mezzo-sopranos Paola Leguizamón (Colombia) and Anush Martirosyan (Armenia); the tenors Valerio Borgioni (Italy), Víctor Jiménez Moral (Spain), Dave Monaco (Italy) and Tianxuefei Sun (China); the baritons Stefan Astakhov (Germany), Lluís Calvet i Pey (Spain), Matteo Guerzé (Italy), Janusz Nosek (Poland) and David Roy (Poland); the bass-baritone Mariano Orozco (Argentina); the bass Georgy Ekimov (Russia).

The programme of the concert will feature pieces from La cambiale di matrimonio, Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, Tancredi, Armida, Il Turco in Italia, accompanied on the piano by Rubén Sánchez-Vieco and Elisa Cerri.

Tickets (priced 10 euros each) will be on sale on the day of the concert at the Teatro Rossini at the from 4 p.m. at Teatro Sperimentale (information: 0721.3800294).

The pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana will be the protagonists of the new series of concerts, Salons Rossini, scheduled on 24, 27 and 31 July at 9 p.m. in some precious villages in the province of Pesaro and Urbino: San Lorenzo in Campo, Gradara and San Costanzo. Each concert will be introduced by a short presentation by Andrea Parissi of the Fondazione Rossini and concluded by a special Rossini tasting.

The pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana will also take part in Il viaggio a Reims, which will be staged at the Teatro Rossini on the 15th and 18th August, all of these performances being part of the Festival Giovane of the XLII edition of the Rossini Opera Festival. The first performance of the Viaggio a Reims by the students of the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda" will be streamed live on OperaVision, the free platform managed by Opera Europa and co-financed by the Creative Europe programme within the Next Generation project. The two performances will be available for six months on OperaVision, together with a dedicated podcast and a backstage video.
