On Saturday 23rd September the journey of Pesaro 2024 Italian Capital of Culture stopped in Peglio for the Happennino Festival. At the meeting, Mayor Matteo Ricci, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Beauty Daniele Vimini and Pesaro2024 Artistic Director Agostino Riitano spoke about '50X50 Capitals Squared', the macro-project that will see each municipality in the province of Pesaro and Urbino become the Italian Capital of Culture for one week. 50X50 Capitals Squared' is articulated around a dense 12-month calendar - starting on 22 January in Vallefoglia and ending in December in Montregrimano Terme - as a kind of invitation to travel between nature and culture, to discover a polycentric and polyphonic land, between the sea and the hills.
