The fourth Salon Rossini
The latest concert in the series Salons Rossini, a cycle entrusted to the young pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” 2023, sponsored by the Fondazione Meuccia Severi. The series, making part of the programme of the Festival Giovane 2023, pays tribute to the famously animated Salons at Rossini’s home and offer ROF audiences the opportunity to discover the old towns in the province of Pesaro Urbino, carrying Festival performances to a new audience in unusual and evocative surroundings.
On Sunday 30th July at 9.00 p.m. at the Palazzo dei Principi di Carpegna the young students of the Academy will offer a concert entitled Una volta c’era un Re, with kings and queens, princes and princesses from La Cenerentola. Paolo Nevi (tenor) and Seray Pinar (mezzo-soprano) in the duet for Cenerentola and Ramiro: “Tutto è deserto…. Un soave non so che”, Matteo Mancini (baritone) in Dandini’s Cavatina: “Come un’ape ne’ giorni d’aprile”, Paolo Nevi in Ramiro’s Aria: “Sì, ritrovarla io giuro” and Seray Pinar in Cenerentola’s Scena: “Nacqui all’affanno, e al pianto.” The singers will be accompanied at the pianoforte by Aleksey Yakimov.
We thank Prince Antonio di Carpegna for his kind hospitality.
These concerts will be introduced by a short listeners’ guide by the musicologist Andrea Parissi from the Fondazione Rossini and will conclude with a moment of conviviality. Members of the audience will receive a free token to enable them to pick up a programme of the operas to be given at the ROF 2023 at the entrance to the Vitifrigo Arena.
These concerts have been organized in collaboration with the town councils of Gradara, Cagli, Mondavio, Carpegna and Urbino. Entrance is free of charge subject to the availability of seats.
