The Concerti al Museo
On Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th the Concerti al Museo continue with the third and fourth appointments in this series of recitals for voice and piano featuring the pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, which are billed for the 5th and 17th August at the Museo Nazionale Rossini.
The series, organized by the Rossini Opera Festival in collaboration with the Sistema Museo and the Fondazione Rossini, makes up part of the Festival Giovane 2023 [The Youth Festival], a section of the ROF dedicated to promising young artists.
On Monday 14th August at 12.30 p.m. Seray Pinar (mezzo-soprano), William Kyle and Giuseppe Toia (baritone) will perform selections from Il barbiere di Siviglia, accompanied at the pianoforte by Giorgio D’Alonzo.
Seray Pinar and William Kyle will sing the Duet for Rosina and Figaro: “Dunque io son … tu non m’inganni?”, Giuseppe Toia will offer Bartolo’s Aria: “A un Dottor della mia sorte”. Finally Seray Pinar will sing Rosina’s Cavatina: “Una voce poco fa”.
The fourth concert in the series will be heard on Tuesday 15th August at 11.00 a.m. and will feature Miyoung Lee (soprano), Giacomo Nanni (baritone), Valerio Morelli (bass-baritone) and Omar Cepparolli (bass). Giorgio D’Alonzo will once again accompany the Academy’s pupils at the pianoforte.
Giacomo Nanni and Omar Cepparolli will perform the Aria of Berenice: “Voi la sposa pretendete” from L’occasione fa il ladro, Omar Cepparolli will sing the Aria of Fernando: “Accusata di furto… oh rossore!” from La gazza ladra, while Miyoung Lee and Valerio Morelli will offer the Duet for Ninetta and Fernando: “Come frenar il pianto!” from La gazza ladra.
The fifth and last concert in the series Concerti al Museo will be given on Thursday 17th August at 11.00 a.m. and will feature Vittoriana De Amicis, William Kyle and Giuseppe Toia.
