The Nature of Culture is a project at the base of Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024 created to spread the guidelines of this epic event in the whole Province. On April 27 the first workshop was held at the Barco Ducale in Urbania, founded in 1465 at the behest of Duke Federico di Montefeltro as a residence of peace and tranquillity and still one of the most beautiful places in our province. The event was dedicated to local cultural and economic operators and the public of the municipalities of the Upper Metauro Valley to deepen the planning towards Pesaro2024, in the presence of the Mayor of Pesaro, Matteo Ricci, the Deputy Mayor of Pesaro, Daniele Vimini, and the Mayor of Mercatello sul Metauro, Fernanda Sacchi.

The conclusion of the day was held at the former Lanificio Carotti di Fermignano, formerly a paper mill and then a wool mill, still today the symbol of a small country town that has been able to transform itself into an industrial hub. Speakers included Silvano Bacciardi, representative of the former Carotti Wool Mill, and Jonathan Pierini, Director of the Superior Institute of Artistic Sciences of Urbino (ISIA).
