The Rossini Opera Festival and the Conservatorio Rossini have repeatedly collaborated on performances on the occasion of Rossini's Birthday Celebrations.

In 2019, in particular, the two musical institutions staged La cambiale di matrimonio, the Festival's first production in stage form outside the usual summer programme, in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, the Fondazione Rossini, the Marche Region, the Municipality of Pesaro, AMAT, the Registro Storico Benelli, Fiam and co-produced with the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.

The staging was devised by the Scuola di Scenografia (School of Set Design) of the Urbino Academy, directed by Francesco Calcagnini and Davide Riboli, lighting by Emiliano Pascucci and collaboration on costumes by Paola Mariani. Alessandro Bonato conducted the Orchestra of the Rossini Conservatory and a young vocal company including Nicolò Donini (Tobia Mill), Claudia Muschio (Fanny), Anatolii Pogrebnyi (Edoardo Milfort), Carles Pachón (Slook), former students of the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda", and Conservatory students Sergei Morozov (Norton) and Mariangela Marini (Clarina).
