
Ermione best production of 2024
Ermione, staged last summer at the Rossini Opera Festival, won the Abbiati Prize as best performance of 2024. Directed by Michele Mariotti and staged by Johannes Erath, with sets by Heike Scheele, costumes by Jorge Jara, videos by Bibi Abel, and lighting by Fabio Antoci, Ermione was staged at the Vitrifrigo Arena on 9 August (replicas on 13, 17, and 20 August). Michele Mariotti conducted the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, the Ventidio Basso Theatre Choir and a cast composed of Anastasia Bartoli (Ermione), Viktoria Yarovaya (Andromaca), Enea Scala (Pirro), Juan Diego Flórez (Oreste), Antonio Mandrillo (Pilade), Michael Mofidian (Fenicio), Martiniana Antonie (Cleone), Paola Leguizamón (Cefisa), Tianxuefei Sun (Attalo).
