Concerto Sergey Romanovsky

The series of Concerti lirico-sinfonici of the 46th edition of the Rossini Opera Festival comes to an end with its final event scheduled for Thursday, 21 August at 3.30 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini. Taking centre stage will be tenor Sergey Romanovsky, joined by conductor Asier Eguskitza leading the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini.

The programme includes the Ouverture Pastorale by Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga, attributed to the lost opera Los esclavos felices, presented in a revised version by Asier Eguskitza (world premiere); Tito’s aria “Del più sublime soglio” from La clemenza di Tito by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Vasco’s aria “O paradis sorti de l’onde” from L’Africaine by Giacomo Meyerbeer; the Symphony and Otello’s Cavatina “Ah sì, per voi già sento” from Otello by Gioachino Rossini; Rodolfo’s aria “Quando le sere, al placido” from Luisa Miller by Giuseppe Verdi; the Polonaise and Lensky’s aria “Kuda, kuda, kuda vi udalilis” from Eugene Onegin by Petr Ilic Cajkovskij; the Song of the Indian Guest “Pesnya Indiskogo Gostya” from Sadko by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov; and the traditional Russian song “Ah, ty dushechka”.
