La cambiale di matrimonio returns to ROF 2025

La cambiale di matrimonio will be the second opera staged at the Rossini Opera Festival 2025. Presented at the ROF in 2020 during the summer of the pandemic, it now returns to Pesaro following a short tour in Oman in November 2022. The farce, preceded by a performance of the Soirées musicales, will be staged from 11 August at 8:00 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini in the new critical edition by Eleonora Di Cintio.

Christopher Franklin will conduct the Filarmonica Gioachino Rossini in a production by Laurence Dale with set and costume design by Gary McCann and lighting by Ralph Kopp. The cast includes Paola Leoci (Fannì), Pietro Spagnoli (Tobia Mill), Jack Swanson (Edoardo Milfort), Mattia Olivieri (Slook), Ramiro Maturana (Norton) and Inés Lorans (Clarina). The Soirées musicales, presented in the orchestration by Fabio Maestri for ROF 2019, will feature Vittoriana De Amicis, Andrea Niño, Paolo Nevi and Gurgen Baveyan. The production will be performed again on 15, 17 and 20 August.
