Who is the next young Rossini talent?

Why is Il viaggio a Reims sung by the students of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” so successful every year? The staging, classic but infallible like a Swiss watch, by Emilio Sagi, and the cast, made up of young talents on their way to a high-level career (this year there are no fewer than 19 graduates in the 2025 programme). But there is more: every member of the audience knows that each year they will hear one or more singers who will soon join the select group of today’s great Rossini interpreters. The great question “Who is the next young Rossini talent?” will be answered again this summer by listening carefully to the young voices always travelling with Rossini.
