Good luck to the graduates of the Accademia Rossiniana all over the world in the name of Rossini!
From 2 May at the Nice Opera, Dave Monaco (Count d’Almaviva), Lily Joerstad (Rosina) and Gurgen Baveyan (Figaro) will sing Il barbiere di Siviglia in a production by Benoît Benichou, a former student who has now become a director; on 16 May at Glyndebourne, another Barbiere di Siviglia with Cecilia Molinari as Rosina will be staged; on 25 May at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, here is the third Barbiere di Siviglia of the month, with Aya Wakizono as Rosina.
