The international activities of the Rossini Opera Festival continue: for many years the Festival has been collaborating with diplomatic centres and Italian cultural institutes all over the world to propagate awareness of Rossini and his works.

The latest appointment will be held on Tuesday 14th December at 7.00 p.m. at the Salle Molière of Lyon, when the Rossini Opera Festival and the city’s Istituto Italiano di Cultura will celebrate Christmas with a concert entitled Tutto Rossini, a selection from the most celebrated of the composer’s numbers, sung by Giuliana Gianfaldoni (soprano), Cecilia Molinari (Mezzosoprano), Giorgio Misseri (tenor) and Giorgio Caoduro (baritone).  These four ex-pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, who are now launched on successful international careers, will be accompanied at the pianoforte by Marco Camillini.

The programme features excerpts from La gazzetta, La Cenerentola, Il viaggio a Reims, Maometto II, L’Italiana in Algeri, Tancredi and Il barbiere di Siviglia.
