ROF back in Oman

The Rossini Opera Festival returns to the Royal Opera House in Muscat (Oman) for the fourth of the five Rossini farces included in the partnership with the Omani theatre: La cambiale di matrimonio, seen at the ROF 2020 in the staging by Laurence Dale, with sets and costumes by Gary McCann and lighting by Ralph Kopp, co-produced with the Royal Opera House Muscat.

The opera will be staged on November 24th and 26th at 7 p.m. (local time). Alessandro Bonato will conduct the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini. The cast includes Alfonso Antoniozzi (Tobia Mill), Dilyara Idrisova (Fannì), Davide Giusti (Edoardo Milfort), Davide Luciano (Slook), Aleksandr Utkin (Norton), Martiniana Antonie (Clarina).

The tournée in Oman will include a number of other important events.

On November 19th at 11.30 a.m. in the theater's Opera Galleria there will be one of the classic Lunch music concerts, which feature famous opera arias for a diverse audience of enthusiasts and people who want to approach lyric. The concerts will be preceded by a brief introduction about the program that is going to be performed.

To introduce the first performance of La Cambiale di matrimonio (beginning at 7 p.m.), a Listening Guide reserved for the evening's audience will be held on Nov. 24th at 6 p.m.

Between the two opera performances, Rossini's duets and arias Homage to the Swan of Pesaro will be held on November 25th at 7 p.m.
