The opening opera of the 2023 Festival is already available on RaiPlay (only when you are in Italy) The last opera in the official Rossini catalogue not yet performed at the Festival, it was presented in the first performance of the Rossini Foundation's critical edition, edited by Alice Tavilla and Andrea Malnati. Jader Bignamini conducted the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai and the choir of the Teatro Ventidio Basso, while the production was directed by Stefano Poda. The cast included Enea Scala (Carlo), Anastasia Bartoli (Cristina), Daniela Barcellona (Eduardo), Grigory Shkarupa (Giacomo) and Matteo Roma (Atlei).
