Flórez until 2026

Juan Diego Flórez will serve as ROF's Artistic Director until 2026.

These are his words after the renewal of the appointment: "I thank Intendant Ernesto Palacio for wanting to confirm me as ROF's artistic director for the four-year period 2023-2026. I also thank President Vimini and the entire ROF Board of Directors. I am honored to occupy this prestigious position of the festival where I was born artistically and I will work in tune with the Superintendent to maintain excellence in future programming."

Born in Lima, Juan Diego Flórez made his international name at ROF in 1996, making his debut at a very young age in the modern world premiere of Matilde di Shabran. His enormous success launched a career that sees him a regular guest at the most important theaters and major musical institutions around the world. He is founder and president of the 'Sinfonia por el Peru' Association, UNESCO ambassador and Kammersänger Artist.
