
Ermione receives the 44th Abbiati Prize
On Sunday 10 August at 12 p.m., the Sala della Repubblica at the Teatro Rossini will host the ceremony for the Franco Abbiati Music Critics’ Awards. The Rossini Opera Festival has won the most prestigious award for Best Performance with Ermione, conducted by Michele Mariotti and directed by Johannes Erath at ROF 2024. Now in its 44th edition, the Abbiati Prize is the most highly regarded distinction in the Italian music world and is presented by the Associazione Nazionale Critici Musicali.
The ceremony will take place during the first ROF Talks event, starting at 11:30 a.m. The session will be dedicated to Zelmira, the opening opera of this year’s Festival, featuring conductor Giacomo Sagripanti and director Calixto Bieito.
