Accademia Rossiniana in Tokyo in November
As part of the ‘Per chi crea’ programme, the ItaliaFestival Association, supported by the Ministry of Culture and SIAE, has organised “Italian Vibes: Sound of Youth in Tokyo” at the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo. The festival will host four exceptional Italian musicians and performers under the age of 35, who have been selected for their artistic excellence and their ability to connect with an international audience.
The first three events will feature jazz by the Canio Coscia & Cosimo Boni Quintet on 29 August, classical music by the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra Wind Octet on 4 September, and classical music by the Philharmonic Orchestra on 22 October. The festival will conclude on 12 November with a concert organised by the Accademia Rossiniana ‘Alberto Zedda’, featuring mezzo-soprano Marta Pluda. This concert will feature arias from three of Gioachino Rossini’s most famous operas – Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’Italiana in Algeri and La Cenerentola – interspersed with pieces from Péchés de vieillesse.
