World premiere of three Cantatas

Recovering the original versions of Rossini’s compositions is what our festival specialises in, thanks to our close collaboration with the Rossini Foundation. This time, however, is an exceptional event: three cantatas for solo voice, choir and orchestra will be performed in the same concert, all in critical editions: Il pianto d’Armonia sulla morte d’Orfeo, La morte di Didone and Il pianto delle Muse in morte di Lord Byron, edited by Marco Beghelli, Cecilia Nicolò and Eleonora Di Cintio, respectively. Three world premieres, in short, entrusted to the voices of two young vocal talents, trained at the Accademia Rossiniana, who are now embarking on brilliant careers: Giuliana Gianfaldoni and Dave Monaco.
