9 countries of origin for each student, including Italy, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, France, Japan, Poland, UK, and Ireland.

14 performances by the students, including special concerts and Il Viaggio a Reims.

229 hours of study and rehearsal with lectures and masterclasses during the Academy.

A Special Program in Rossini’s Name

Since 1989, we have annually offered a specialization course in Rossini’s bel canto to approximately 20 young students from all over the world. The course includes lessons, masterclasses, and meetings with industry experts.

We provide the necessary tools to build a career and spread Rossini’s music worldwide, allowing his operas to be brought back to life.

How we will thank you

Our Academy Dedicated to Alberto Zedda

Alberto Zedda was a consultant, and later the Artistic Director, of the ROF right from from its earliest days. He was a central figure in the Rossini Renaissance and an unforgettable mentor for a new generation of singers within the Rossini Opera Festival’s Accademia Rossiniana, which he conceived and directed since its founding.

The Accademia Rossiniana has trained a new generation of artists who have gone on to achieve success in theaters worldwide since 1989. Since 2017, it has been under the direction of Ernesto Palacio.
