The second Salons Rossini in Gradara

The second concert in the series Salons Rossini, three concerts featuring pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda” 2022, sponsored by the Fondazione Meuccia Severi, in homage to the famous, lively musical evenings in Rossini’s own home.  This concert series is an absolute novelty for the ROF, springing from the desire to offer our own regular audiences the opportunity to get to know the surroundings of Pesaro better and, at the same time, to bring Festival performances to new audiences in unusual and evocative places.

The concert Amor! (Possente nome!), presenting love duets from Rossini’s operas, will take place on Wednesday 27th July at 9.00 p.m. in the Corte d’onore of the Rocca di Gradara.  Mariia Smirnova (soprano) and Victor Jiménez (tenor) will sing the duet for Edoardo and Fanni “Tornami a dir che m’ami” from La cambiale di matrimonio; Aitana Sanz (soprano) and Paola Leguizamón (mezzosoprano) will present the Duettino for Elena and Malcolm “Vivere io non potrò” from La donna del lago; Paola Leguizamón and Victor Jiménez will offer the Duet for Cenerentola and Ramiro “Tutto è deserto…Un soave non so che” from La Cenerentola; Irene Celle (soprano) and Paola Leguizamón will sing the Duet “Serbami ognor sì fido il cor” from Semiramide.  The pianoforte accompaniments will be played by Elisa Cerri.

Each concert is introduced by a short explanatory talk by the musicologist Andrea Parissi of the Fondazione Rossini.  After the concerts members of the public will be able to sample special refreshments based on Rossini recipes.

The last concert in this series will be held on Sunday 31st July at 9.00 p.m. in the Teatro della Concordia at San Costanzo.

This initiative has been organized in collaboration with the Town Councils of San Lorenzo in Campo, Gradara and San Costanzo.  Admission is free of charge, subject to the number of seats  available.  Info: 0541.964181 – rof@rossinioperafestival.it
