On Sunday 19th August at 4.30 p.m. at the Auditorium Pedrotti, Yolanda Auyanet will give a recital as part of the Concerti di belcanto series, accompanied at the pianoforte by Giulio Zappa. The programme includes music by J. Rodrigo, E. Granados, G. Rossini, G. Donizetti, V. Bellini.
The soprano Yolanda Auyanet was born at Las Palmas; she studied singing and did a finishing course with Jerzy Artysz. After having won various singing competitions, she made her Italian debut at the Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari, in the rôle of Musetta, followed by Gilda in Rigoletto and Violetta in La traviata at the Teatro La Zarzuela, Madrid. She was admired at the Maggio Musicale, Florence, at the Teatro Comunale, Bologna, the Teatro Carlo Felice, Genoa, the Teatro Regio, Turin, the Teatro Massimo, Palermo, and in Verona at both the Arena and the Teatro Filarmonico, but also in Europe, where she won critical and popular success at the Staadtstheater, St. Gallen, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Opéra of Nice, Toulon and Nancy, the Staatsoper, Hamburg, the Festspielhaus of Baden-Baden, and also at Geneva, Madrid, Seville, Oviedo, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Tenerife. Shortly she will be singing at the Royal Opéra of Liège (Leonora in Il trovatore and Elisabetta in Don Carlos), at the Monnaie, Brussels (Alice in Robert le Diable), the rôle of Imogene in Il pirata at Madrid, the title róle of Lucrezia Borgia in Tenerife and Oviedo, at the Colón, Buenos Aires as Liù in Turandot and also Norma in Stuttgart.
Yolanda Auyanet made her first appearance at the ROF in 2015 in the Stabat Mater.
