The International Opera Awards 2015,  prizes promoted by the English magazine Opera, have devoted two nominations to the Rossini Opera Festival. The Rof has entered the lists for two among the most prestigious recognitions: that for the best festival (the only one chosen from Italy, and for the second year in succession) together with those of Bregenz (Austria), Cincinnati (USA), Garsington (England), Glimmerglass (USA) and Operadagen Rotterdam (Holland); and that for the best re-discovered opera, in which Aureliano in Palmira, given for the first time in the critical edition at Pesaro in 2014, will be competing with Los diamantes de la corona by F. Barbieri (Teatro de la Zarzuela, Madrid), Les Martyrs by Donizetti (Opera Rara), Amleto by F. Faccio (Opera Southwest, Albuquerque), What Men Live By by B. Martin (Czech Philharmonic) and Les Barbares by C. Saint-Saëns (Opéra-Théâtre, St. Ètienne).

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on the 26th April at the Savoy Theatre and the Savoy Hotel, London.
