Two closing events for the Accademia Rossiniana

The Accademia Rossiniana, a permanent seminar of studies on the problems of modern bel cantointerpretation, under the direction of Alberto Zedda, celebrating its XXV anniversary this year, will close with the traditional Final Concert on Friday 19th July at the Teatro Sperimentale at 8.00 p.m. During its quarter-century of activity the seminar has formed an entire generation of talented young artists who have been able to polish their technical, musical and cultural resources in Pesaro.  Many of them have made their entry into professional life through Festival productions, to carry on their careers later on in theatres the world over.

The singers heard at the Teatro Sperimentale will be Sarah Blanch Freixes, Natalya Boeva, Sandra Ferrò, Na’ama Goldman, Sophie Gordeladze, Tatia Jibladze, Mai Kusuno, Valentina Teresa Mastrangelo, Damiana Mizzi, Dempsey Caqui Rivera, Davide Giangregorio, Paolo Ingrasciotta, Dmitry Ivanchey, Vassilis Kavayas, Matteo Loi, Dimitri Pkhaladze, Marco Stefani, Seiji Ueda, Sergio Vitale.

The programme will, obviously, be made up of  numbers from Rossini operas, accompanied at the piano by Anna Bigliardi.

Tickets (all priced at 10 Euros) will be on sale at the Teatro Rossini on the day of the performance from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 midday, and from 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.  From 7.00 p.m. they will be obtainable at the Teatro Sperimentale (for information, dial 0721 3800294).

The 2013 edition of the Accademia Rossiniana has been attended by 19 students, chosen from among about 200 applications that came in from 32 nations and all six continents: Argentina, Armenia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, Equador, Esthonia, France, Germany, Georgia, Japan, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhistan, Latvia, Moldavia, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Roumania, Russia, Spain, the United States, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, the Ukraine, Hungary. 

Some of the soloists from the Accademia Rossiniana will sing in a concert-event at the Villa Matarazzo (Gradara) on Sunday 21 July at 8.00 p.m. The box-office takings from the concert, which will be attended by all the leading authorities from the Province and well-known personalities form the economic and cultural worlds, will go to further the work of IOPRA – the Istituto Oncologico Pesarese ‘Raffaele Antoniello’.  For further information, dial 0721.32230.

The pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana will also take the leading roles in Il viaggio a Reims, which will be staged at the Teatro Rossini on the 13th and 16th August in the framework of the Youth Festival of the XXXIV edition of the Rossini Opera Festival. This has become an irresistible attraction for audiences made up of opera-lovers and theatre-managers from all over the world who like to discover, while they are still unknown, young voices that in the years to come will be heard in the world’s most important theatres.
