The operatic / Symphony concert Perpetual Music Concert, organized by Rolex and Medici.tv, which will take place on Friday 21st August at 8.00 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini, the day after the conclusion of the ROF 2020, will be projected in live streaming at the Arena di Rocca Costanza.
Admission to the projection at the Rocca, which will be free of charge, will begin at 7.00 p.m. and continue until the maximum number of spectators permitted have taken their places. The projection has been realized in collaboration with the Gruppo Giometti, Cinema Loreto and Cinema Solaris, who are organizing summer activities at the Arena.
The concert, with admission by invitation, has been organized in collaboration with the Pesaro Town Council and the Rossini Opera Festival, and will feature the tenor Juan Diego Flórez, a Rolex Ambassador and one of the stars of international opera; also appearing are some of today’s leading Rossini specialists, who have recently sung at the ROF: Davide Luciano, Nicola Ulivieri, Eleonora Buratto, Marina Monzó, Karine Deshayes, Pietro Adaini, Cecilia Molinari, Nino Machaidze, Nahuel Di Pierro, Mariangela Sicilia, Roberto Lorenzi. Christopher Franklin will conduct the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini.
The event, which will be transmitted on the web by Medici.tv, the world’s leading classical music channel, inaugurates a mini-series of concerts promoted by Rolex and dedicated to the support of singers and musicians in this period of uncertainty. The succeeding events will be held at the Staatsoper, Berlin (1st September) and the Opéra national, Paris (Palais Garnier, 3rd September).
The evening’s programme is entirely dedicated to the music of Gioachino Rossini. Excerpts will be performed from: Il barbiere di Siviglia, La donna del lago, L’Italiana in Algeri, La scala di seta, Armida, La Cenerentola, Semiramide, Guillaume Tell, Il viaggio a Reims.
