The revival of Matilde di Shabran staged so successfully this summer at the XXXIII Rossini Opera Festival will be broadcast tomorrow, Saturday 17th November, on the BBC Third Programme at 19.00 hours (Italian time). The performance, devised by Mario Martone in 2004 and winner of the Abbiati Prize for the best stage direction of the year, was conducted by Michele Mariotti with the Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale, Bologna. The singers were Juan Diego Flórez, Olga Peretyatko, Paolo Bordogna, Nicola Alaimo, Chiara Chialli, Simon Orfila, Anna Goryachova, Marco Filippo Romano, Giorgio Misseri, Ugo Rosati and Luca Visani.
