Paolo Bordogna ad Atene

This evening the Greek National Opera of Athens presented, in the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the cultural centre of the same name, a Rossini Gala in co-production between the Greek theatre and the Rossini Opera Festival (lighting supervisor Dimitrios Koutas),  as part of the Tempo Forte programme organized by the Italian Embassy to Athens in collaboration with the Cultural Ministries of Greece and Italy.  The gala is inserted into the rich catalogue of events celebrating, all through the year 2018, the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini.

The star of the concert was Paolo Bordogna, a regular performer at the Pesaro festival and in the world’s leading opera houses, as well as Vassiliki Karayanni, Cellia Costea, Mary-Ellen Nesi, Juan Sancho and Dionyssis Sourbis.  Sebastiano Rolli conducted the Greek National Opera Orchestra, in the presence of the Mayor of Pesaro, Matteo Ricci, and the General Administrator of the ROF Ernesto Palacio.
