The RAI Orchestra returns to the ROF

The Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale of the RAI will be the main orchestra of the 40th Rossini Opera Festival, scheduled in Pesaro from 11 to 23 August 2019. 

In the last two years the prestigious ensemble collaborated with the Rossini Festival, for which it has taken part in productions of great importance and success such as Le siège de Corinthe, La pietra del paragone, Ricciardo and Zoraide, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Stabat Mater, Petite messe solennelle

At the ROF 2019 the Orchestra will be involved in the two new productions created for the occasion: Semiramide, directed by Michele Mariotti and staged by Graham Vick, which will inaugurate the Festival on 11 August; L'equivoco stravagante, directed by Carlo Rizzi and conceived by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier, staged since 12 August; in addition, the Orchestra will participate in the Gala ROF40, which will celebrate the fortieth edition of the Festival on 21 August.
