14 February 2020

The Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda" of the Rossini Opera Festival held a concert in Villa Berg, headquarters of the Italian Embassy in Russia, in Moscow. The event is part of the music exchange program aimed to young Italian and Russian musicians and opera singers, organized by the Italian Embassy. Among the various collaborations supported by the initiative is the exchange of student hospitality between the Accademia Rossiniana and the Young Artists Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater, directed by Dmitry Vdovin.

The concert was performed by the alumni Francesca Tassinari and Dmitry Cheblykov, accompanied on the piano by Mikhail Korshunov. Arias from La Cenerentola, La scala di seta, Il viaggio a Reims, La cambiale di matrimonio and Il barbiere di Siviglia were performed.

During the evening, the Intendant Ernesto Palacio and the General Director Olivier Descotes illustrated the program of the 41st Rossini Opera Festival and the cultural proposal of Pesaro, recognized as a UNESCO Creative City of Music since 2017.
