The Accademia Rossiniana, a permanent seminar of studies on the problems of modern bel canto interpretation, under the direction of Alberto Zedda, will close with the traditional Final Concert on Saturday the 21st of July at the Teatro Sperimentale at 8.00 p.m. The singers will be Baurzhan Anderzhanov, Silvija Angelova, Randall Bills, Miloš Bulaji?, Filippo Fontana, Davide Giusti, Lilly Jørstad, Fumiyuki Kato, Alessandro Luciano, Davide Luciano, Raffaella Lupinacci, Lorenzo Nincheri, Mattia Olivieri, Anna Pegova, Alize Rozsnyai, Hulkar Sabirova, Dario Shikhmiri and Mariangela Sicilia.
The programme will include numbers from La scala di seta, Maometto II, L’inganno felice, Tancredi, Semiramide, Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, Stabat Mater, L’Italiana in Algeri, Guillaume Tell, Armida, Il Turco in Italia, Otello and Il viaggio a Reims, accompanied at the piano by Anna Bigliardi.
Tickets (all priced at 10 Euros) will be on sale at the Teatro Rossini on the day of the performance from 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 a.m., and from 4.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. From 7.00 p.m. they will be obtainable at the Teatro Sperimentale (for information, dial 0721 3800294).
The 2012 edition of the Accademia Rossiniana has been attended by 20 students and 15 auditors, chosen from more than 200 requests for admission and hailing from Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, South Korea, Ecuador, France, Japan, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Peru, Rumania, Russia, the United States, Hungary and Uzbekistan.
Some of the soloists from the Accademia Rossiniana will sing, on the following day, Sunday 22nd July at 8.00 p.m., in a concert event at Villa Matarazzo (Gradara). The box-office takings of the concert, which will be attended by all the leading authorities from the province and well-known personalities from the economic and cultural worlds, will go to further the work of IOPRA – the Istituto Oncologico Pesarese ‘Raffaele Antoniello’. The young singers of the Accademia Rossiniana will also take part in Il viaggio a Reims, which will be staged at the Teatro Rossini on the 14th and 17th of August in the framework of the Youth Festival of the XXXIII edition of the Rossini Opera Festival.
