The new project “One for all” promoted by the Italian Institute of Culture of Stockholm will be inaugurated on Tuesday April 7 at 1pm with the viewing of Sigismondo, staged at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2010.
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 the Institute was forced to suspend their promotional activities which called for the physical presence of their staff, guests and an audience. In order to make a few of their events accessible, they have decided to arrange events in the presence of only one viewer. The viewing was originally scheduled for March 19 as the last appointment of an entire series dedicated to the Rossinian Festival.
In 2010 the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna were conducted by Michele Mariotti and the cast included Daniela Barcellona, Andrea Concetti, Olga Peretyatko, Antonino Siragusa, Manuela Bisceglie and Enea Scala. The production was directed by Damiano Michieletto, including sets by Paolo Fantin, costumes by Carla Teti and the lighting was curated by Alessandro Carletti. Both Paolo Fantin and Carla Teti were awarded with the prestigious “Premio Abbiati” for best set designer and costume designer of the year.
