On Friday 19th July at 9.30 p.m. the first of the fourth gatherings in the new cycle of Concerti dal balcone
will take place, organized by the Pesaro Town Council’s Assessorato alla Bellezza and by the Rossini Opera Festival after an idea by Marco Mencoboni, in collaboration with Sistema Museo, Amat and the Fondazione Rossini.
The balcony of the composer’s birthplace will be the scene of vocal performances by some of the pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, a study seminar on modern belcanto interpretation which will run until Monday 22th July at the Teatro Sperimentale.
The singers in the opening concert will be the soprano Maria Chabounia, the tenor Diego Godoy and the soprano Olga Dyadiv, accompanied at the piano by Elisa Cerri. Olga Dyadiv will sing Fiorilla’s aria “Non si dà follia maggiore” from Il Turco in Italia,
Diego Godoy Comte’s aria “Que les destins prospères” from Le Comte Ory
, while Maria Chabounia will perform Ninetta’s aria “Di piacer mi balza il cor” da La gazza ladra
Three singers will also take part in the concluding concert of the Accademia Rossiniana 2019, which will be held on Monday 22th July at 8.00 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini. The next Concerts will be on Friday 2nd August at 9.30 p.m., Wednesday 15th August at 7 p.m. and Sunday 18th August at 7 p.m.
