RAI 3 broadcasts the ROF all over the world

This year the third programme of the RAI will continue to follow the Rossini Opera Festival, broadcasting the whole of the operatic repertory. Ciro in BabiloniaMatilde di Shabran and Il signor Bruschino will be broadcast through the Euroradio circuit to 15 countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Rumania, Serbia, the United States, Sweden, Switzerland). In fact, the three ROF operatic productions may be heard in direct transmission all over the world by means of the satellite, or on the internet on the RAI Radio3 website (www.radio3.rai.it), where various multi-medial adjuncts may be found on line: the biography of Gioachino Rossini, the plots and the librettos of the operas.

The commentator will be Giovanni Vitali who, during the direct transmissions, will interview the high functionaries of the ROF and the Fondazione Rossini, the conductors and directors of the productions, as well as some of the principal singers.

The direct broadcasts from Pesaro will begin every evening at about 19.50 as part of the programme Radio3 Suite.
