Luca Pisaroni inaugurates the Belcanto Concerts

On Tuesday 15th August at 4.00 p.m. at the Auditorium Pedrotti, Luca Pisaroni, who was applauded for his performance as Mahomet II in Le siège de Corinthe, will inaugurate the Belcanto Concerts 2017 with his recital accompanied by Giulio Zappa at the pianoforte.

The programme includes music by Schubert (Der Schiffer D 536, Memnon D 541, Auf der Donau D 553, Ganymed D 544, Grenzen der Menschheit D 716 and An Schwager Kronos D 369), F. Liszt (Über allen GipfelnR 610, Vergiftet sind meine Lieder R 608, O lieb’  R 589 and Hungarian Rhapsody N° 5 R 106) and G. Rossini (from Soirées Musicales, 1. La promessa and 2. Il rimprovero; from Péchés de vieillesse 2. La lontananza and 4. L’ultimo ricordo )Vol. I Album Italiano) and 2. L’esule (Vol. III Morceaux réservés).

This bass-baritone, born in Ciudad Bolivar, made his début in Salzburg with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, an event that opened the doors of the leading theatres and international festivals to him. Amongst his engagements this season are Rossini’s Stabat Mater at the Musikverein, Vienna, Handel’s Messiah with Les violins du Roy, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis at the inauguration of the Elbphilharmonie of Hamburg, Concert Arias by Mozart and Orchestrated Songs by Schubert with the Wiener Virtuosen and the Stuttgart Philharmonic, the Bach Mass in B minor with the Gewandhausorchester and Berlioz’s Roméo et Juliette with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

Furthermore he will give a series of recitals with the pianist  Maciej Pikulski throughout Europe, including the Wigmore Hall and the Teatro de la Zarzuela.  He will also appear with Thomas Hampson in various duet concerts billed as No Tenors Allowed in Lisbon, Istanbul, Vienna and Leipzig, at the Open Air-Bühne in the Rosental.
