Guillaume Tell on OperaVision

6 April 2020
The first cycle Soirées musicales will come to an end on Tuesday April 7 at 7pm. In the last three weeks we have offered the viewing of various recent and renowned productions of the Rossini Opera Festival in collaboration with Unitel and Ricordi.

After having broadcast La scala di seta (2009), Zelmira (2009), Sigismondo (2010), Adelaide di Borgogna (2011), Mosè in Egitto (2011), Ciro in Babilonia (2012) and Matilde di Shabran (2012), it is time for the monumental Guillaume Tell, staged at the ROF in 2013 by Graham Vick (sets and costumes by Paul Brown, choreography by Ron Howell and lightning by Giuseppe Di Iorio). The Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna was conducted by Michele Mariotti, the cast featured Nicola Alaimo, in the title role along with Juan Diego Flórez, Marina Rebeka, Amanda Forsythe, Veronica Simeoni, Luca Tittoto, Simón Orfila, Simone Alberghini, Celso Albelo, Alessandro Luciano, Wojtek Gierlach.

The opera will be broadcast free of charge on Opera Vision, a project curated by Opera Europa and financed by the European Union's Creative Europe Program, and will then be available until 7 July.
