On Monday 22th July at 8.00 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini the traditional closing concert will bring the XXXI Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”, directed by ROF Intendant Ernesto Palacio, to an end. The 2019 edition of the Accademia featured 19 fully effective pupils: the sopranos Maria Chabounia, Olga Dyadiv, Giuliana Gianfaldoni, Paola Leoci, Francesca Longari, Claudia Urru; the mezzo-sopranos Ulyana Biryukova and Chiara Tirotta; the tenors Diego Godoy, Matteo Roma, Joao Terleira, Daniel Umbe Umbelino; the baritones Jan Antem, Andre Maksimov, Dean Murphy, Diego Savini; the basses Kyeongwook Jang and Jenisbek Piyazov. To these will be added the Russian baritone Dmitry Cheblykov, who has followed the lessons of the Accademia as part of the programme of student grants organized by the Italian embassy in Moscow.
The programme of the concert will feature pieces from Il barbiere di Siviglia, L'Italiana in Algeri, Le Comte Ory, La Cenerentola, Il Turco in Italia, Tancredi, La scala di seta, Il signor Bruschino, La cambiale di matrimonio, La gazza ladra, La donna del lago, Semiramide, Matilde di Shabran, Il viaggio a Reims, accompanied on the piano by Rubén Sánchez-Vieco, who is also the Accademia’s Coordinatore musicale, and Elisa Cerri. Tickets (priced 10 euros each) will be on sale on the day of the concert at the Teatro Rossini at the following times: 10-12 a.m.; 4.00-6.30 p.m. and from 7.00 p.m. (information: 0721.3800294).
The pupils of the Accademia Rossiniana will also take part in Il viaggio a Reims, which will be staged at the Teatro Rossini on the 18th and 20th August, all of these performances being part of the Festival Giovane of the XL edition of the Rossini Opera Festival.
