Both the Teatro Rossini and Piazza del Popolo were crowded on the occasion of the concluding evening of the 36th Rossini Opera Festival; on the programme were the Stabat Mater and the Dances from Guillaume Tell, performed by the Chorus and Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale, Bologna, conducted by Michele Mariotti (in the cast were Yolanda Auyanet, Anna Goryachova, René Barbera and Nicola Ulivieri) and video-projected in the main square of Pesaro.

A complete novelty this year was the transmission of the concert in streaming video on the website and the YouTube channel of the Rossini Opera Festival, in collaboration with Amat and the Pesaro Town Council, with contacts from 37 countries in four continents: Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Ecuador, Finland, France, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Mexico, Holland, Norway, Peru, Porto Rico, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, the USA, South Africa, Switzerland, the Ukraine.
