Russian mezzo-soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya and Spanish tenor Xabier Anduaga won the prestigious Mazars Young Singer award at the 2021 edition of the International Opera Awards, awarded by an international jury of music critics and opera professionals. The two singers attended the Accademia Rossiniana in 2016 under the guidance of Alberto Zedda, singing in Il viaggio a Reims.

Vasilisa Berzhanskaya (left in the picture) will perform Sinaïde in Moïse et Pharaon and the Stabat Mater at the ROF 2021. Xabier Anduaga (right in the picture) returned to Pesaro in 2017 in Le siège de Corinthe (as Adraste) and then in 2018 in Ricciardo and Zoraide in the role of Ernesto.
