The fourth edition of Il viaggetto a Reims [A little trip to Reims], an operatic game for children, will be held on Thursday 11th at 2.00 p.m. and Friday 12th August at 10.00 a.m. in the Sala della Repubblica of the Teatro Rossini. This has been organized by Giada Cambioli, Elisabetta Tamburello, Marco Rovieti and Lorenzo Piscopiello. A limited number of applications will be considered for children between the ages of 6 and 10. For information, telephone: 346.4947469.
This activity, divided into a treasure-hunt and a musical-theatrical laboratory, allows children to take part, in a manner suggesting a game, in the mechanisms involved in creating an opera production and to inter-act, together with their parents (who, during the activity, will be watching Il viaggio a Reims in the theatre), together with whom they will listen to the First-Act Finale, and later participate personally in the closing procession inside the theatre.
This initiative rounds off the complex work of caring for the young that the Festival has been pursuing for years, together with the Accademia Rossiniana and Il viaggio a Reims (its end of course show), our courses introducing the young to opera (Crescendo per Rossini) in primary and secondary schools, our collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, the University of Urbino and the Conservatorio Rossini, and our practice of assisting young people and children to gain easy access to our performances.
