It’s been a very special event in the framework of the Celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini: singers, musicians, artists and chefs have been protagonists of the first edition of the Rossini Alpine Opera Gala at the 2,173 meters of Skyway Monte Bianco, the futuristic cableway that connects Courmayeur to the 3,466 meters of Punta Helbronner, among the glaciers and rock walls of the Pavillon du Mount Fréty.
The President of ROF Daniele Vimini and the Sovrintendente Ernesto Palacio, who illustrated, together with the Mayor of Pesaro Matteo Ricci, the upcoming events of the Rossini celebrations, participated in the event, a sort of reproduction of the famous Salons du samedi soir that Rossini held in Paris.
The soloists of the Accademia Rossiniana "Alberto Zedda" Giorgia Paci and Daniele Antonangeli sang Rossini arias and duets, accompanied on the piano by Tamuna Giguashvili.
In the Pavillon, an exhibition of ten stage costumes from the ROF (Bianca and Falliero, Adelaide di Borgogna, Il Turco in Italia, Elisabetta regina d’Inghilterra e Semiramide) was set up.
David Riondino gave a reading on Il debutto del Barbiere di Siviglia and I ricevimenti a casa Rossini while the recipes created and loved by Rossini were proposed by the starred chefs Bobo Cerea, Moreno Cedroni, Freddy Vifian and Agostino Buillas, as well as by the famous bartender Oscar Quagliarini.
