The second edition of Il viaggetto a Reims [A little trip to Reims], an operatic game for children, will be held in the Sala della Repubblica of the Teatro Rossini on Monday 11th, Wednesday 13th and Saturday 16th August at 10.15 a.m. This has been organized by Lucia Moricoli, Elisabetta Tamburello, Marco Manzo and Marco Roveti. A limited number of applications for children between the ages of 6 and 10 are considered. For information, telephone: 329.2094683 or 328.9054800.
This activity, divided into a treasure-hunt and a Laboratory, will allow children to take part, in a manner suggesting a game, in the mechanisms involved in creating an opera production and to inter-act, together with their parents (who, during the event, will be watching Il viaggio a Reims in the theatre), together with whom they will listen to the First Act Finale, and later participate personally in the closing procession inside the theatre.
This initiative completes the complex work of caring for the young that the Festival has been pursuing for years together with the Accademia Rossiniana and Il viaggio a Reims (representing its conclusion), our courses introducing the young to opera (Crescendo per Rossini) in primary and secondary schools, our collaborations with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino and the Conservatorio Rossini, and our practice of assisting young people and children to gain easy access to our shows.
