Fourteen ROF Operas
At the Italian Cultural Institute of Munich
A cycle of video projections of 14 operas staged by the Rossini Opera Festival will begin tomorrow, Tuesday 27th May, at 7.00 p.m. at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Munich, organized by the Institute in collaboration with Forum Italia and Unitel Classica. This initiative, entitled ‘Gioachino Rossini und das Rossini Opera Festival Pesaro’, will be inaugurated in the offices of the Institute in Hermann-Schmid-Strasse together with a presentation of the Rof 2014 by Patricia Franceschini, representing the Ufficio Promozione of the Festival; this will be followed by a projection of La scala di seta (Rof / Unitel 2009).
Seven other evenings are planned, all on Tuesdays. On the 3rd June: L’equivoco stravagante (Rof / Dynamic 2008, at 4.00 p.m.) and La gazza ladra (Rof / Dynamic 2007, at 7.00 p.m.); on the 24th June: L’Italiana in Algeri (Rof / Dynamic 2006, at 4.00 p.m.) and Matilde di Shabran (Rof / Unitel 2012, at 7.00); on the 1st July: Il Turco in Italia (Rof / Dynamic 2007, at 4.00 p.m.) and Ermione (Rof / Dynamic 2008, at 7.00 p.m.); on the 18th July: Torvaldo e Dorliska (Rof / Dynamic 2006, at 4.00 p.m.) and Ciro in Babilonia (Rof / Unitel 2012, at 7.00 p.m.); on the 15th July: Adelaide di Borgogna (Rof / Unitel 2011, at 4.00 p.m.) and Il barbiere di Siviglia(Rof 2011, at 7.00 p.m.); on the 22nd July: Zelmira (Rof / Unitel 2009, at 7.00 p.m.); on the 29th July: Demetrio e Polibio (Rof / Unitel 2010, at 4.00 p.m.) and Sigismondo (Rof / Unitel 2010, at 7.oo p.m.).
