Largo ai Tenors Irvin, Romanovsky e Spyres

On Thursday 17th August at 4.00 p.m. at the Teatro Rossini John Irvin and Sergey Romanovsky, both of whom made highly applauded Pesaro débuts in Le siège de Corinthe, and Michael Spyres, already frequently heard at the ROF, will be the protagonists in the concert Tenors, dedicated to the Rossini tenor repertory. They will be accompanied by the Filarmonica Gioachino Rossini, under the English conductor David Parry.

The programme will open with the Overture to Armida, followed by the Duet for Ricciardo and Agorante “Donala a questo core” from Ricciardo e Zoraide (Romanovsky-Spyres), the Duet for Carlo and Ubaldo “Come l’aurette placide” from Armida (Irvin-Romanovsky), the Duet for Otello and Iago from Otello “Non mi inganno; al mio rivale” (Spyres-Irvin), the “Pas de soldats” from Guillaume Tell, Agorante’s Cavatina “Minacci pur” from Ricciardo e Zoraide (Spyres), Idreno’s aria “Ah dov’è il cimento?” from Semiramide (Irvin), Antenore’s Cavatina “Che vidi! Amici, oh eccesso!” from Zelmira (Romanovsky), the dances from Armida and the Trio for Rinaldo-Carlo-Ubaldo “In quale aspetto imbelle”, with the three tenors engaged side by side.
